About Me

My photo
Noel Duffy
I am a writer based in Dublin. My debut poetry collection 'In the Library of Lost Objects' was published in summer, 2011, with Ward Wood and was shortlisted for the Shine/Strong Award for best first collection by an Irish author. I have published three further collections, most recently Street Light Amber (2020). My work has appeared widely in Irish and international journals (including Poetry Ireland Review, The Irish Times, The Financial Times) and been broadcast on RTE Radio 1 and BBC Radio 4. I was also awarded the Patrick Kavanagh Fellowship in 2018. Before becoming a writer, I studied Natural Science at Trinity College, Dublin, where I was elected a Scholar in 1990 and graduated with a first class honours degree in experimental physics in 1992 - hence my interest in the connection between poetry and science.
